6 mm Prusik Rope, 600 kg

Our 6mm Prusik Rope is a high-quality, polyester braided cord with a minimum breaking strength of 600kg (approximately 5.9 kN). It’s durable, low-stretch, and features a tight construction that holds knots well while remaining supple and easy to handle.

Important safety note: This rope is not certified to climbing standards such as EN 564 or UIAA 102. It is not suitable or intended for use in life-safety climbing, mountaineering, rappelling, or any activity involving fall arrest or human suspension where failure could result in injury or death. Do not use it for prusik hitches, ascenders, backups, anchors, or any climbing-related applications.

Instead, this versatile cord excels in a wide range of non-life-safety and general-purpose uses, including:

• Scouting and youth activities — Perfect for lashing barrels in Flintstone-style cars, pioneering projects, knot-tying practice, camp setups, and teaching basic rope skills (as successfully used by Scouts NZ).
• Camping and outdoor adventures — Guy lines for tarps and tents, ridgelines, clotheslines, gear tie-downs, or bundle securing.
• Utility and craft projects — Tie-downs, hauling light loads, creating leashes or tethers (e.g., for tools, dogs, or gear), stringing accessories, or general workshop/yard tasks.
• Creative and DIY applications — Macramé-style wall hangings, plant hangers, braided bracelets, keychains, or other decorative cordage projects where strength and color add appeal.

Available in three vibrant colors for easy identification and fun projects (Sold per meter):

• 6mm Prusik Rope 600kg blue
