Best for
Backcountry trips, camping, travel and emergency preparedness where you need a hand pump filter rather than waiting on gravity or boiling alone.
Why it works
Four filtration stages and a fine 0.01-micron element target common outdoor water risks, while the high claimed flow rate and cup-style lid keep the kit practical in the field. Replacement filters are sold separately so the pump body can stay in service.
NZ notes
Sold by Volans Limited in New Zealand. Filter replacements are available on this product’s options. Always follow safe water practices for NZ backcountry sources.
FAQ
Can I buy a replacement filter? Yes — choose “K8187 Replacement Filter (Filter only)” on the product page.
What does the 0.01-micron filter target? A claimed 99.99% reduction of bacteria and protozoa, including organisms such as giardia, salmonella and cryptosporidium. It is not claimed as a desalination / seawater RO unit (see our separate Purewell RO listing if you need that).
How long does a filter last? Up to 3,000 litres capacity and a 5-year shelf life — actual life depends on source water quality.
